Using natural, non-toxic and cruelty-free cosmetics is the part of my holistic well-being.
I guess I have always been a nightmare consumer for a cosmetic marketers cause I don’t go along with all the bullshit they try.. When they try to sell yet one more ‘spectacular’ beauty product which has no chance to even give the effect they promise. I have studied the science of skincare.
And I think if everyone would study at least the basic chemistry of skin and cosmetics, and take a look into International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI) they could save a lot of money and have a mind-blowing exciting experience while the beauty industry scam would get revealed to them.
So, as said, I have been quite selective user of cosmetic products all my life. First of all I was around 25 years old before I even started to use any skin care products. And after that every product, before me starting to us it, has been under my careful scrutiny.
First of all by my product selection I want to support production of non animal tested cosmetics. It’s very often difficult to be sure that you really are buying such product, as cosmetic industry does everything in order to cover all the filthy job they do and make their public image looking as if they were some huge saviours of the planet with a pure good heart. It’s quite obvious that the most of the companies who want to sell ‘cruelty free’ cosmetics do it cause it makes them look better, it’s good for the business, not that they would really give a shit about animals’ and nature’s well-being.
Next scam which I look into when I choose my cosmetic products is can those products really give what they promise, can they really effect your skin, hair and so on? And I’m so glad that I have studied this field, I have saved so much money and laughed so much when looking at the ridiculous marketing tricks of cosmetic products, when cosmetic industry does their very best in fooling naive people believing they could turn their age from 60 to 20 just by smearing some fancy over-priced cream of their face.
I started to make my own skin care products some years ago. My products have all what my skin needs. I could not find any reason why should I buy some extremely expensive products made by a huge international cosmetic brand, which doesn’t care about more than achieving a thicker wallet at any cost.
Making my own beauty products actually started from my investigations of finding a natural way to cure my headaches which I had that time very often. I wanted to find a natural replacement for the pain killers.
These investigations sucked me irrevocably into the exciting magic that nature offers. And forward into the science of holistic well-being.
It’s spring time now, nature has woken up. Soon it’s time to pick up the first herbs of the year.
